Schooling

My little darling started her earlier schooling days on Monday ~ 14 Jan 2008.

Due to the previous unpleasant schooling experiences while she was 20 months old, I decided to accompany her on her 1st day just to accompany her and understand her class study schedule.

Day 1
She was doing ok, mix around well and socialized with her little friends. Good and active participation while teacher was teaching in the class.

Day 2
Still quite ok. But when I fetched her at 12 noon, her teacher told me she cried for a short while in the class when I was not around. Poor girl.

Day 3
In the early morning on the way to her school, she told me she wants to change school. J Wonder why and where she got the idea of changing school.

Day 4
When I wake her up in the morning, she told me she doesn’t want to go to school. So I promise her that I will accompany her for a while. Later when I left the school after 10 min, she cried madly till teacher has to hold her body. When I fetched her at 12 noon, she looks very quite and didn’t smile. But when back to ah mah’s house, she assume her happy and cheeky face, running here and there….

Day 5
She still told me she doesn’t want to go to school but I just ignore her request. But she did not cry today. Good girl. At night, she played in her bedroom pretending herself to be a teacher, arranging the table and chair and call out her student name, Darren, this is your place ; Chun Yao, Aruka, and etc….” I just lay down aside and enjoy to look at her ‘drama show’…

This is her 1st early schooling experiences, very soon it will come her primary school day, secondary school day, college day and university life. Cycle of life of her just started....

1st Saturday event in year 2008

We attended one of my high school best friend - Wen Hui's wedding dinner at Forum restaurant last Saturday. It was more like a gathering as we can only catch up with her once every 2 years fly back all the way from Canada.

All the 2nd generation friends doing their colouring session while the dinner was served. Thanks to aunt Lay Gaik for bringing the coloring tools.

New Year 2008 & New Room

We have always wanted to decorate a room for QY ever since she was few months old back in 2005. But just kept on delayed and delayed this big project till end-Dec 2007.

After done some survey from the magazine and visiting show unit, finally we hired the interior designer to complete this task. We put on her favourite colour - pink on the wall, simple pink design on the wardrobe, and the bedsheet. Now, not only she play her toys, write and reading book, and even sleep on her own in her new room at night.

Merry Christmas 2007

Every year, we don't really celebrate Christmas, but we definitely love Christmas holiday season for the festive mood and lots of year end holiday.

QY was so excited over the huge soldier guard and the big piano when we were at One-Utama shopping mall. We drove down to KL on 23rd Dec morning to attend a friend's wedding dinner, and heading back to Penang on 24th Dec.
















Back to Penang, QY and Jia Hong at the Queensbay mall. Both of them looks so cute with their facial expression.

Year end Singapore trip (Part I)

Finally the long-awaited holiday came and 3 of us boarded the night flight to S'pore at 9.15pm on 12 Dec 2007.

QY was so excited as this is her 1st experiences to board the aeroplane. In her little mind, aeroplane is only an object which she could see when she look up high to the sky.

During the 1 hour flying time, she was occupied with the activity pack given by the friendly stewardess.

Day 1 & Day 2

Both mommy and QY enjoyed mother and daughter time. We shop, we eat, we rest and relax,we swim and we laugh. How wonderful the time and how I wish I could do it everyday!!!

Year end Singapore trip (Part II)

We found this 3 cute chair in one of the shopping mall. QY was sitting on it happily as she linked this chair to the little chair she read from the story book ~ 3 Bear and Goldlilock.

















On Day 3, we joined the local tour to visit Singapore Zoo. It was an extraordinary experiences and memory as we all wearing raincoat in the zoo due to the heavy downpour. QY still enjoy to see the real animals by her own eye, she kept on saying : "this one like the TV" when she saw the tiger, zebra, kangaroo, snake, giffafe and etc.

On Day 4, we went to Sentosa island by cable car. Visited the Underwater world.
















QY just woke up from a short nap, and we are waiting for the next session ~ Song of the Sea.
















The next day (Monday), our holiday ended and we flyed back to our own home sweet home in Penang.

Passport photo

I have always dreamt or wanted a family vacation (3 of us) abroad. My wish will be coming true this year as I have planned to tag along daddy's business trip to Singapore in mid-Dec. This time, yes I will bring QY along.

We brought her for a passport size photo shooting last Sunday night and on Monday morning, we went to the immigration department to apply for a passport for my little darling.

I guess QY is getting excited and looks forward for this holiday too. She will has her 1st experiences with the airoplane.

Tongue Injury

My little darling has injured her tongue (muscle tear or deep cut middle in her tongue) while she was playing in KFC kids play corner last Saturday night.

Mommy was so blurred that I never checked her mouth thoroughly on the spot, just thought that it was a minor falling incident. When the bleeding is finally stopped, we went home directly.

Upon reaching our house, I was super shocked to see her deep cut wound in the middle of her mouth (around 2 cm open wound) when she was asking for a plaster from me to stick at her tongue. Without second thought, we rushed to the clinic nearby immediately and the doctor has urged us to send her to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Daddy remain calmed and drove us straight to Gleneagles hostpital. The staff in charged there called the surgeon back to hospital to check on her. The surgeon (Dr Oh) came within 15 min and after checking on her, the last and only cure to your deep cut wound is to stitch the wound in the middle of her tongue.

The whole operation was carried out the next morning as she needs to fasting for 8 hours and doctor has to put her on full body anaesthetic. I was so worried and guilty that she has to undergo this kind of suffering at this young age.

She woke up after the operation, cry non-stop as she can't find mommy in the operating theather. Finally the nurse pushed her out from the room, I quickly carried her from the bed and I think she felt safe and stopped crying.

For the following days, she still looks calm and didn't make noice or complaint of the sickness in her tongue. Mommy must praise her as she is really a brave and tough girl. At the same time, mommy wanted to say sorry to you as due to my neglience to keep a close eye on you while u were playing, u have injured badly.

Mommy and QY was stayed in hospital for 2 nights. During the stay, watching TV has occupied most of her time.
















Her next door neighbour - Tan Zi Zian, 5 yrs old boy who suffered from high fever. QY always goes down from her bed and walked to his bed and played with him.
